Larry Usner CTB, is the Chief Operations Officer of Bentley Commerce and the President and Founder of Radio Forecast Network, a Bentley Commerce Company. Mr. Usner has over 35 years experience in the broadcast and barter industries. He began his career in Radio in 1971 as a disc jockey and worked for several stations in the Lafayette, Louisiana market. While majoring in radio and television communications at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, he worked on the air and in the production room for several commercial radio stations, but quickly moved into local sales handling advertising for hundreds of clients.
Mr. Usner made a natural segue into the world of barter exchange management. Over the last two decades, he has owned and managed several barter companies, often placing media buys and producing radio and television commercials for his clients. While a licensed broker for a national trade exchange, Mr. Usner gained an accreditation of Certified Trade Broker (CTB) from The International Reciprocal Trade Association (IRTA). Mr. Usner then combined his skills in radio, TV and barter to form Radio Forecast Network. RFN’s humble beginning of providing weathercasts for one station quickly grew to over twenty stations in two short months. Envisioning the need for specialized software to deliver weathercasts to the ever growing list of stations needing RFN’s services, Mr. Usner along with software developers, designed and developed ManageWx™, an online software platform that will enable enormous growth with minimal administrative expense.
