Severe Weather Alert Watches and Warnings, including Hurricane Advisories are all part of the package available to RFN affiliates. This nationally-sponsored Severe Weather Alert system is independent of each station’s regular forecast and can be co-branded with a local sponsor for easy monetization by each station.
News: RFN’s success in delivering over 50,000 weather forecasts to its affiliates has prompted interest in providing local and state news to each of the stations. RFN will begin to provide this news content in states where at least 20 stations receive its weather content, therefore producing more advertising inventory to sell to agencies and direct clients.
Announcer Software: RFN licenses Manage Wx™, its proprietary announcer software, to other networks allowing their team to see on one screen, exactly how each of their affiliate stations wants their programming presented - the open, the close, the sponsor, the length of the feed, the daypart in which it airs, and data specific to that station's coverage area. Once recorded, it's uploaded and available for download by each station, either through the station's automation system or manually by a station staff member. This software also allows an automatic insertion order and affidavit reporting mechanism to be easily handled is a virtual dashboard setting by ONE person, therefore limiting the need for a large staff normally used for this purpose.
